Parameter and density estimation from real-world traffic data: A kinetic compartmental approach

چکیده

The main motivation of this work is to assess the validity a LWR traffic flow model measurements obtained from trajectory data, and propose extensions improve it. A formulation for discrete dynamical system proposed aiming at reproducing evolution in time density vehicles along road, as observed measurements. This formulated chemical reaction network where road cells are interpreted compartments, transfer one cell other seen between adjacent compartment concentration reactant. Several degrees flexibility on parameters system, which basically consist rates can be considered: constant value or function depending and/or space. Density coming data then observations states consecutive times. Optimal by minimizing discrepancy output state approach was tested both simulated real proved successful recreating complexity flows despite assumptions flux–density relation.
